Every individual brings gifts, purpose, and possibilities to our world. Wonderfully Made Day celebrates the accomplishments, and contributions of individuals with Down syndrome, Autism and other abilities while inspiring communities to advance inclusion, understanding, and opportunity.
In 2024, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker proclaimed November 12 as Wonderfully Made Day, honoring these individuals and the memory of Tinesha Williams, Co-Founder of Empower Society 21. Observed on her birthday, this annual celebration carries forward her legacy and our commitment to helping individuals pursue their dreams and reach their full potential.
On Thursday, November 12, 2026, we invite schools across Illinois to celebrate with us. Organize a celebration at your school or book Empower Society 21 to lead a 90–120 minute experience centered on confidence, creativity, and belonging.
Through our “I Am Wonderfully Made” project, students create personal posters highlighting their strengths, interests, dreams, and what makes them unique. The celebration welcomes students with and without disabilities, creating opportunities to learn about one another, build connections, and recognize the value of every ability.

Empower Society 21, Inc. is a mission-driven nonprofit and global movement committed to unlocking the limitless potential of individuals with Down syndrome, autism, and other diverse abilities.
Founded by sisters Tiana Williams and the late Tinesha Williams, our work was born from lived experience, unwavering love, and an unshakable belief that every individual is wonderfully made and capable of exceeding expectations.
